Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers October 2, 2011

This isn’t your stereotypical jalapeno popper recipe, we’ve added a couple things, but it’s still really simple. We’ve made the recipe twice now. It was good the first time, but with the tweeks we made it was much better the second time. This is another really basic recipe that anyone of any skill level can make. So give it a try, and impress your guests 🙂

Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers

12-15 jalapenos
1 cream cheese block
1tbs chopped cilantro
1tsp lime juice
12-15 strips of uncooked bacon, cut in half
24 toothpicks

-Preheat oven to 400F
-Combine lime, cilantro, and cream cheese
-Cut the jalapeno stems off, slice in half and remove the seeds and veins
-Fill each jalapeno boat with the cream cheese mixture
-Wrap each filled jalapeno boat with half a slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick
-Place on a baking sheet and put in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the bacon is done

Do not over cook or the jalapenos will get mushy and fall apart.
